Mission of the Undergraduate Program in Engineering Physics. The mission of the undergraduate program in Engineering Physics is to provide students with a strong foundation in physics … The program requires at least 45 units of math+physics and 45 units of engineering, and a Technology in Society course.

Engineering Physics (EPhys) Combines physics and mathematics with engineering design and problem-solving skills. Undergraduate degrees offered: Bachelor of Science, Honors. Individually Designed Major in Engineering Design your own program in an area not covered by existing majors. Undergraduate degrees offered: Bachelor of Science, Honors

The Engineering Physics undergraduate major, administered by the School of Engineering, is designed for students who have an interest in and an aptitude for both engineering and physics. The program provides students with a firm foundation in physics and mathematics, together with engineering design and problem-solving skills. The purpose of the master’s program is to further develop knowledge and skills in applied physics and to prepare students for a professional career or doctoral studies.

You will be prepared not only for graduate work in physics, but also for careers in fields that benefit from quantitative and analytical thinking, including physics, engineering, teaching, medicine, law, science writing, and science policy, in government or the private sector. This first-year, graduate-level text and reference book covers the fundamental concepts and twenty-first-century applications of six major areas of classical physics that every masters- or PhD-level physicist should be exposed to, but often isn't: statistical physics, optics (waves of all sorts), elastodynamics, fluid mechanics, plasma physics, and special and general relativity and cosmology. The Department of Applied Physics offers qualified students with backgrounds in physics or engineering the opportunity to do graduate course work and  The School of Engineering offers undergraduate programs leading to the High school courses in physics and chemistry are strongly recommended, but not  the "40" series: a calculus-based sequence for most physical science and engineering students; the "60" series: for students with signifigant preparation in physics  18 units of advanced coursework in science and/or engineering to fit the particular interests of the individual student.
